Dads' Support Group
Being a dad can be very rewarding and very difficult.
While working with other dads in individual therapy, I have found that many men feel like they are on an island trying to navigate dad life. Navigating feeling lost and unsure of what to do with a child's behavior can be extremely difficult. Trying to break the cycle from your father can be difficult. Balancing all your responsibilities can be difficult. Men need support, and this group is for that.

This group offers dads the chance to seek support and learn from other dads when struggling with parenting and/or feeling like a failure as a father.
All dads can expect to be accepted and supported in this group. There are only two topics that are not permitted in the group as an option for effective parenting: corporal punishment and the "cry it out method." There will be no judgment if you have used either of these techniques or disagree with my (Connor's) view on either of them. In my research, I have found that neither of these methods is effective, so I (Connor) choose not to encourage them in this dad group.

This group will be offered from 8-9 PM on Tuesdays. Currently, it will be virtual, but if there is enough interest, we may switch to an in-person location.

The group is currently not running. Once we have eight men interested in the group, we will start.
